"I applied for a course in 2021 for more experience/education for the job I’m looking for in the future. They got my information mixed up on ESOL and assumed I was foreign until I had to correct them myself. Because there’s lack of communication a particular staff members would constantly make ESOL appointments (even after they had the correct information) that I couldn’t attend due to mental health crisis and other personal problems. I tried to tell this staff member if she kept sending me emails after constantly having to correct her that the emails would be ignored. After 1 day she sent an email which was offensive, disrespectful and vile behaviour towards students with mental health problems. She tried to guilt trip me. In the end I made a complaint against her. I would give a 5 star but after being spoken to like a dog, that’s not appropriate."
"Discriminated my sons special needs!! Wasn't offered a place because of his SEN needs. If they would have read his ehcp correctly my son would not be getting failed again!!! Will be taking my complaint higher. Absolutely disgusting not even offered an interview or meeting"
"I've been attending City Skill for almost a month. Everything is perfect and the teacher is very good and patient The only thing I don't like about City Skill is the place where it is, near a waste collection site. It really is disgusting the bad smell every morning and then breathing it also not good for health. Strange that no one has ever protested about this. The college deserves five stars but the place where it is less than zero."
"Completed an hnc in construction 6 years ago. The course was good but 3 months ago I went to renew my cscs card and they hadn't given me the correct certificate so I am unable to get a cscs card. Nobody at city skills can sort this situation and their online website is useless. Becareful if you are thinking about going to this college to study they are absolutely useless."
"I applied for a course with this college in July, they’re was an error with my information and was mixed up with someone else’s. I ended up getting emails saying if I didn’t show up to an ESOL meeting my application would be cancelled. So I agreed to meet up with them to see what was going on. The first time I had an appointment they asked me to show up at 6pm! (Where the college is closed) and completely wasted my time. The second time, it was confirmed that there was an error in the system. Due to this I wasn’t able to apply for the course. For 2 months I got multiple emails telling me about appointments, warnings about missing appointments etc. I would email them to politely confirm that there was an error and if they wouldn’t email me again. However this was ignored and I continued to get calls and emails. I eventually said any more emails and called would be ignored. This afternoon I got an email from someone called Mariam calling me “rude” and guilt after receiving a call from her but it wasn’t a good time to answer the phone. Very unprofessional"
