"I've been to a few different types of Jiu Jitsu clubs over the years, but none stand out like this one. If you're thinking about giving it a go, just get yourself down there for a 10 day free trial! Rob, Matt & Jo are all fantastic instructors and extremely knowledgable. They are also all genuinely lovely people. "My son recently completed his first session in the 8-12 yrs Junior Combatives class. He thoroughly enjoyed the session and the enthusiasm he had when telling his mum all about it when he got home was clear to see. The session was very professionally organised with a solid structure throughout. Rob's delivery of, what appeared to be a complex technique, was incredible. He kept the children engaged and focused on the task of learning the technique, while ensuring the learning was still fun. My son was partnered with a young man who was older than him and several belt grades ahead. This boy in particular was fantastic with my son. He helped break down the techniques, step-by-step, and helped my son get his positioning correct with clarity and patience. A perfect role model for my son and a credit to both Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and his family. Overall, a wonderful experience for my son, who is very excited to return next week. I cannot recommend this training centre highly enough to any parent/guardian who is looking for their child to take self-defence classes."

"My daughter, Faye, is due to attend her 4th lesson with Rob at Marple Gracie Jiu Jitsu this Friday. Although it's technically challenging with a lot of information to absorb, especially considering she has only just turned 7 years old in February; she has really started to pick up the techniques Rob has shown her and put them into practice with the other children. During the week until the next lesson, we practice together to reinforce Robs teaching. Robs teaching is set at a good pace with each pair of children receiving a fair amount of individual time with Rob to help them develop the proper technique. The children have welcomed Faye and made her feel at home. The older children in her class have been kind and patient when she hasn't understood something which is great. Great coach, awesome children and a fun, learning environment. Would definitely recommend!"
