"If you are a breastfeeding woman, do not visit, even for a coffee. I was told to cover up myself while breastfeeding my newborn as it was a man’s pub, it was inappropriate and no one wants to see that. I don’t know how I could cover myself anymore when I had a button down blouse on. I was told to cover myself with a blanket. I was told “this is a man’s pub”. I am absolutely so disgusted and upset, especially as breastfeeding publicly is protected by law. Another gentleman in the pub said I don’t mind at all, it’s natural and doesn’t bother me, but the rude barmaid insisted I cover up. I felt utterly humiliated and upset. I would not recommend here for women, or anyone who respects equality. My husband asked to have a quiet word with her and was immediately met with “it’s my pub and I’ll decide what happens and what people can do”. She then referenced saying “if I don’t want a dog in my pub I don’t have to”. I will assume the woman was the landlady, an older woman with blonde hair. So not only did she humiliate me, but she also insulted me. An absolute disgrace to Greene King pubs."
