"Bearing in mind The Moss Bank Hotel is a lovely public house. I was sure I was going to have a good experience. The food was okay, meaning the starter was, from then on it all went downhill, the Christmas dinner was mediocre, also the pudding was supposed to be chocolate orange cheesecake, there was a slice of chocolate orange but by no means was this anything like a chocolate orange cheesecake I have tasted! The service was horrendous, and the manager was an ignorant person with less intelligence of anyone i have spoken to in all my life! I tried to complain about the service of a young waitress, as she was arguing with me, to which he replied let me finish my tea, then I'll be with you, no not the case, he ended up making me wait so he could clean a table! Needless to say I got nowhere! Young and very inexperienced staff, no concept of working with the public! I appreciate it being a busy time of year but the pub was was almost empty! They would rather look after their family members who were there to eat than actual paying customers! Needless to say I won't recommend this place to anyone! The only good thing about it I was with friends so enjoyed their company!"
