Reviews
"It used to be my regular grocery shop. However, it is a little expensive and there is a greater selection in the local competitors. They used to have a great meat shop which has been replaced by a newcomer. The service is friendly and they have a good selection on spices."
"Stop this annoying parking system! If by any chance you forget to type in your registration number, you end up with a huge fine! No other supermarket has this unnecessary car park system. Fresh food selection is poor and not very fresh."
"Very disappointed today with the service I got and I will definitely not be going in there again and I will be telling all my family and friends to be wary of going in there. Got a parking ticket for £100 to be reduced to 60.00 if I pay within 14 days. I rang up and spoke to someone in the store about it. He asked me to come in and they will cancel. So I went in thinking it will be cancelled. The guy who spoke to me was there and he said you must have forgot and they will cancel and passed me to another worker. The other worker was like a prosecutor working for the old Bailey lol where is your receipt, what did you buy etc. I explained that it was nearly two weeks ago and I don't have receipt . I even very politely told them it must have been a mistake , maybe forgot as we are human beings and prone to mistakes. He wouldn't have it. Said will get owner to call. I just spoke to the owner. He was adamant that he couldn't do anything without receipt. I explained to him that I am a regular customer etc and should consider as we do make mistakes. Wouldn't have it. Kept arguing about this that.. I even said its hard days and 60.00 is a lot of money. But still didn't budge. He would most certainly make a good barrister and get clients punished but his customer service is minus zero. Believe me customer retention is so very important. Its a question of survival. But he didn't care less. I have worked in the customer service industry with companies like TSB , HSBC etc and believe these companies pride on customer retentions. You go to other places there is no headache like Azaad, Al Halal, Tesco, Al Furqan so why bother with this shop. The owner also stated there is lots of signs everywhere, Well unfortunately we all lead busy lives and when we pop into shops we look at the products we buy and not everyone looks at signs to read. You explained that I had stayed there for a long time . I remember it was just before Eid and probably did quite a bit of shopping and even if I took long , it's not every day thats done. Regardless, I do think you had the authority to override this but you have chosen not to. Have you seen me in your shop ever before disputing parking ticket ? No. Its a first but there was no leniency from you hence it has resulted in this review and even then you couldn't care less. Wow 10 plus again for customer service. You explained that Al- Halal has a parking system. The only system they have is on a Saturday as it is busy. They take 2.00 which you can redeem against your shopping. Fair enough you get it back. Its not like your store. You would think I was going into a massive retail park. You also explained that people misuse. I think you were talking about people parking during school home times. No need for this headache when you go shopping . Plenty of stores to shop from . I have read most of the reviews here. Very interesting how you try to counteract every review rather than trying to see if you can be nice to people. I never write reviews but today I had to not that you care. and let's see everyone what response we get. I am sure the prosecutor skills will shine again rather then customer service skills and let's see what strategies are used to make me the guilty party. Don't get me wrong he was not rude but I expected being a customer for the last 16 years to be shown a bit of leniency . Never mind all good things have to come to an end."
