"Absolutely fantastic venue. Where else would you have the main man Pete Roberts shake your hand? You are made to feel so welcome. Reasonable price on the beer although I was on water. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"
"Absolutely disgusted to hear of how the host of the event this evening bullied the bar staff including embarrassing one girl serving by herself on the bar, in a closing speech at the end in a very catty, mean way. Not only that but all of these 'twisted wheel' nights I have only heard bad things about. The clientele being rowdy and obnoxious; extremely impatient, and shouting abuse- even throwing money at bartenders.A bartender who worked one of these nights described it to me as "the most abuse I have ever had behind a bar in my years of bartending". I hope all of this is treated seriously by the owner/s as it sounds hellish for the staff. Granted they can't control their clientele but they can control who hosts, as there's nothing more off putting for going to an event than a bully running it. I certainly won't be going anywhere near this event, and would advise others do the same."
"atmospheric soul club playing some of the older soil sounds some of them now commercialised . the club got packed quickly there is not a lot of seating if your an old soulie beware you might have to dance . beer in plastic asses if that's what you want. some very cool people still dressed in the fashion of the day. also a few drunk guys who were there for the beer and less for the music. but a good afternoon out and a taste of how it used to be."
"If you want a cracking Sunday afternoon and you love Northern, Motown etc from back when we were all a lot younger and fitter then get yourself down. Two rooms and great music"
"Went for a mini spa trip with my girlfriend as a present for her. Our transport was late so we rang up and said that we would be late. 15 minutes after our appointment time, we arrived. The lady who gave me a massage was so rude and implied that we were late due to our own laziness and then took one of the packages of deal. Rather than getting two treatments we got one each. What a rip off. Did not pay £100 for sure staff and one treatment each."
