"I went to Joanna for a massage which was a birthday gift. The second I walked in Joanna began telling me that she couldn’t ‘fix me’ and I needed to put my own work in. I informed her that I wasn’t here to be fixed and just wanted a relaxing massage. Joanna was good at massaging and clearly knew her stuff, and was very friendly and knowledgeable, however the experience was unpleasant and I left leaving more stressed than when I came in. Joanna talked at me for most of the hour, with little to no prompts from me, about stressful things like the fiscal crisis and her personal life. As someone that works in a stressful job I was hoping for this experience to be a relaxing escape. I feel that most people that go somewhere for a massage do not want to be talked to the whole time - this has never happened to me before in previous massages, they are usually peaceful and have relaxing music. I hope Joanna takes this review in consideration for future massages. She gave some good advice but maybe listen to what the client wants first."
