"Do not like posting negative reviews but this is the second time in 3 months that I have experienced shoddy and condescending customer service... First was myself as I was buying a pair of £345 gents boots from the older lady who started after lockdown...I left there feeling that I'd done something wrong... how can you make people feel like this??? It needs for sure a mystery shopper.. While I was in with my wife today, I observed the staff closely and found that they assess people and come up with instantaneous judgements about them and this shows from the service they received.. thought I was seeing things and watched closely again and again.. I asked my wife to take her time and try on various shoes before making a purchase so I could observe once again how they watched and judged customers... I must say that 100% white people have the attention of the staff and Asian and black people are treated very differently indeed. Very sad to see this happen again and again. We have been buying all our shoes over the last 12 years from this store and I guess we shall be changing. I would say that in my observation : the staff who have gone back to Europe because of Brexit are conspicuous by their absence. There was always a hello at the door, a warm welcome and outstanding service by equals. Not anymore.. Please train these people to come down to earth..."

"Really helpful. I needed shoes for my wedding, was buying a very expensive £280 pair but they didn't have my colour in my size. I was flying out in five days time. I asked them if they could get multiple pairs in just in case the pair they got, had a mark. They phoned round my request immediately while I was still leaving the store. They got various stores to send in three... Arrived in time, first pair was spotless as they should be."
