"Migrant accommodation, traitors to the local community. Sell outs."
"Our room very small with no windows. More suitable for 1 person. Bed was comfortable. No breakfast has been available since before lockdown but food shown on the website. We got sandwiches and drinks from nearby newsagents. We couldn't watch TV as we had the wrong remote control. The manager was helpful and got us a taxi and he tried to find the remote control."
"Good location for what we needed (Neighborhood Weekender festival 2021), staff were lovely. Rooms were awful (tidy but dirty, very poor mattress, small double beds, very dated). Paid £100 for 2 nights room only (bargain) but things were so bad that we decided to leave the morning after the first night there and drive 3hrs home around midnight straight after the gig. I know you get what you pay for nowadays, but wow. We were moved from a room that didn't even have a bathroom door, to the 'honeymoon suite' i.e. Room 17 which, if you do happen to have your honeymoon there, I think your marriage is doomed from the offset. Such a shame because the staff were genuinely lovely. It was so bad it was actually funny to my partner and I. It generated some good memories over just how poor this place was and how, as a couple, we managed to survive the night. In summary, if you can get this place booked for extremely cheap and if the location is good for where you need then it's an option, but you need to have absolute rock-bottom expectations. I've stayed in maybe 60 hotels as an adult so far in the UK, and this is one of the few that I'll genuinely remember long-term, but sadly for all the wrong reasons."
"Where do I begin, from the get go I knew this hotel was for me, dirty and cheap. We was one of the lucky ones in the hotel who actually got bedding, there was a bit of a down side due to no shower working but that’s easily fixable as the legend known as IAN In reception said he would get the boys on to it thanks for forgetting to charge us Ian you are the good guy here and me and the boys love ya until next year stay safe and please stay open! From HULL with love"
"We stayed in a room with no windows because the first room offered (#10) had a broken toilet seat, dirty coffee mugs stashed in a drawer and threadbare carpet (hardly deep clean!). We were moved to room number 51, and this had no windows! It did have a useable toilet seat. newer carpet and tea & coffee facilities, but no breathable air! This we determined was the punishment cell for those that dare to ask to be moved as the request was initially met with some resistance at reception. If we had the breakfast option at £10 per head the total cost of stay would have been near £70. You can find better for a little over that price elsewhere, so I suggest you look around!"
