"We had a lovely walk along the canal and just when we wanted a drink and a snack found the Navigation. Wonderful pub in a great location with an excellent selection of beers and food. Strongly recommend!"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Navigation Inn. Great food and choice of cask ales. Located a short walk along canal path to Whaley Bridge, and 3 miles along canal path to New Mills. Recommend lamb shank and beef hot pot with extra chunky fries which we had (see photos) ..No need for chips on the way home after that. Very warm and cosy traditional friendly atmosphere with low ceilings. Choice of 4 cask ales, including Timothy Taylor..See photos. B&B :- Four poster room very nice with new spacious ensuit shower. Stairs and landing work in progress re decorating but this didn't change our enjoyment in the slightest :) Breakfast amazing with all the usual choices cooked really well and any variation in menu not to much trouble. Will definitely return."

"Visited onChristmas Eve afternoon, although it was busy we didn’t have to wait long for food. The Cheese wedge is just to die for, the chips are great too. Lovely atmosphere. A perfect Christmas Eve."

"Called in for late lunch on Thursday and couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome. Great choice of menu and specials board which included several meals under a tenner! We picked the homemade steak pie and the beef hotpot both at £9.50,a cosy table with views over the canal and service with a smile,what more could you wish for! Both meals were absolutely delicious and genuinely home made on the premises. The choice of desserts was really extensive and imaginative ,again very reasonably priced with many under a fiver. Sadly today we couldn't fit on in but we are looking forward to returning very soon!"
