"Absolutely awful place. I can't believe how unprofessional this place is. i brought my car in for a diagnostic test and it took them 2 months to send the report to my warranty company. I called every other day to chase it, only to be promised "we will definitely do it today ".Always some excuse as to why they were unable to do it. Poor poor customer service. Gave it one star because i can't post review with less, otherwise it would have got none."
"My car was booked in for Full Service + MOT. I left the car at the 20 Tameside Way, Perry Barr, Birmingham B42 2UB garage. Three hours later I received a call and an email confirmation that the vehicle is ready for collection so I headed to the garage. When I got there I was briefly walked through the few issues that were found, collected my keys and left thinking all is well. Later today I got another phone call, roughly another three hours later saying that they never replaced the air filter, because they were waiting for parts to be delivered. So I drive back to the garage and watch the mechanic open the bonnet to replace the air filter. The air filter housing cover was loose, there was no air filter in, the pipe that feeds the engine with air was also loose, basically I was driving my car without air filter and loose parts. Thank God I only drove the car for around 30 minutes.I tried to find out from the mechanic how this could happen, and was brushed off with shoulder shrug and a short answer "I don't know". He only said that he was waiting for parts and took the car outside to start working on the next car. No communication between the mechanic and the guy who was working at the desk. Got in touch with someone at online chat and was told that one of the supervisors will be in touch with me in the next two days, which I don't high hopes for.... Should have believed the bad reviews about Halfords. Never again."
"Daniel and the team took great care of my car. Always honest and reliable and guve good advise whilst helping me to understand more about my vehicle. I booked online and had a quick turn around time. I wouldn't go anywhere else."
"Never beaten on price, but definitely on service Took my car in for front wheel alignment. Was asked to collect it 2.5 hours later, but when I did they hadn't started it so I was asked to wait another 30 mins. After which I drove home to find the steering was off centre and took it back. Another 1.5 hours later and test drives, they returned it to me basically saying it now needed the rear wheels aligning and that they couldn't sort it. So my car was made worse and in 6 hours of waiting. The staff seemed to not know how to do the job and it was very over crowded/booked."
"Staff are great but it is a busy little venue. There's very little parking too which certainly adds to the stress. The biggest issue is that you can't call the centre itself as it directs you to a main switchboard with an annoyingly long message and totally incompetent staff. I had a quick issue which the centre team could have quickly resolved but not something I could do online; despite the lengthy message telling me to do so. I called twice: first time they sent my call to the wrong store and the second time they just hung up! I ended up having to drive there and speak in person on my lunch break which is both frustrating and wasteful. I would recommend them as the staff are great but the whole inability to call them means I doubt I will use them ever again."
