Reviews of Bay and Acre Bar
"Nice pub with good prices compared to other local pubs."
"The new landlord is great. Our lager wasn't right, he took responsibility for it, replaced it and went to the trouble of finding out why it wasn't right in the first place. Most publicans don't care or haven't got enough knowledge. I will definitely go back. Nice atmosphere and good beer (eventually!)"
"Great service. Out for a few pints with my mates. 1st time we'd been in. Staff were really welcoming and told us to sit down and they would bring the drinks over. Very friendly, the place has been done out over the last 2 years and looks great too. Will be back"
"Visited for 1st time last night and am really looking forward to this becoming our new little local. I daren't enter before but under the new ownership it gives off a really welcoming cosy modern vibe without overreaching so it can be an 'any night of the week' stop in. A warm welcome from the owner, who even brought our drinks out to us outside and a good set of staples on tap. As per the last review, yes the sign re: masks is pretty unmissable, (and maybe doesn't need to state the bit about exemptees...) but I see what they are trying to do given the place's past clientele... Everything very clean and freshly decorated. We eagerly await the 'small plates' food they have planned. So glad it's on our doorstep. Thanks for turning this 'no go zone' into something we can confidently step foot in now! We'll be back! :-)"
"Went to this establishment on sunday with my family, only to be met by a 4ft discriminatory sign stating that you can not enter the premises without a mask and no exemptions are allowed. I am sure that there are many laws been broken here and to blatantly refuse people that can not wear a mask is an absolute disgrace! Some peoples disabilities are hidden and they have as much right to go about their daily lives as the next person. I would never support a business that has such a blatant disregard to to the laws that are in place to protect people who have protected characteristics! Shameful business!"
