"Overall this is a lovely little cafe. The vegetarian options are uninspired and old-fashioned though. It’s a bit limited and unfair to have only quiche or soup available on a Sunday service. There are plenty of hearty and easy vegetarian recipes they could include for a roast, but the menu is just missing that inspiration. Maybe cut one of the many meat dishes and add in an easy vege-roast/bake to accompany the rest of the traditional Sunday Roast. The staff didn’t really seem to have much to say or offer as alternatives so I actually just didn’t bother ordering any food at all. I wouldn’t go here if you were gluten-compromised, vegetarian or vegan. Otherwise they have a lovely menu and environment."
"Excellent food, service and atmosphere as always. Never had a bad experience here. Portions are very generous, so take an appetite with you! Booking is recommended as it's usually busy (which is always a good sign!)"
"This is a lovely cafe, with a small gift shop. If the weather is good there are nice countryside views if you sit outside. The menu is varied and good value. The food is freshly made and delicious. The choice of cakes is good and the scones are scrumptious. We always find the staff to be very friendly and service excellent."
"Really happy with our recent visit for lunch. Prompt, friendly service, great food."
"Barlow is a village I have only visited once and that was in the 80s so when I arrived at the cafe it was surrounded by beautiful Countryside. The cafe itself was lovely, helpfully staff nothing bad to say about it. I have put it on my list of visits as a cyclist"
