"we used to shop here all the time as it was a lovely local shop for clothes and gifts. Unfortunately this is no longer a pet friendly shop as we found out be receiving a rude response to our request for whether our dog could come into the shop, even though she had been in the shop during the summer."

"I love this shop and it’s my go-to for gifts but after today’s experience I will not shop here again. I was sold a hot water bottle for £20 only to be told whilst the shop assistant was wrapping it that it had the wrong price on it and was actually £34. I pointed out that she had already completed the transaction but she seemed to think it was totally reasonable to ask me to refund it unless if I wanted to pay the £14 difference. Legally the item was mine, however, I just said ‘i think that this is bad customer service’ but she did not concede and continued to make excuses for the mistake. I said that it was unfortunate but that it would make me think twice about shopping there again but still she thought it was ok to ask me to refund the item. I was happy to do so as I don’t wish to spend my money in independent shops that have so little respect for their customers. TBH I can buy a very similar item for cheaper than this on Amazon but I like to support local businesses. She did say sorry but not thanks for me doing what she asked even though I was not under any obligation to do so. Such a shame."
