"Terrible experience in this store and ruined my day. I was laughed at when I questioned the return policy for a sale item I purchased (a week ago), manager was incredibly rude, stating that only an exchange was offered or a credit note. I had spent 200£ and left with a credit note that I also was not allowed to use on their website. The credit note is only valid for a year. They took my money and then made me feel as if they were doing me a favour by giving me a piece of paper in return. I chose a different dress but this was at a push. I think the quality and workmanship of Maje clothes had declined. I love Maje but now I will not shop there again. I feel cheated. I contacted customer service and put a complaint in writing, one week later no response so I called. The gentleman I spoke with seemed remorseful and apologetic, he said he would pass this to his manager. The manager, Jose, emailed me to ask which store it was and I have heard nothing back, it’s been 10 days. So disappointed and let down by a brand which I used to think highly of. Left with a dress I don’t particularly want and a credit note which I won’t be able to spend, unless I go back to that store. Like the last reviewer said, and I completely agree, avoid this store if you don’t want to spoil your day."

"Very poor experience visiting the Maje store. The sales advisors greeted other customers and didn’t bother greeting me or asking if I required assistance. One would question as to whether they are only interested in greeting certain types of customers !"

"Maje, could I have a normal staff there so I can enjoy my shopping? Staff (Lima) is extremely unfriendly. I like Maje a lot but going into the store is such an unpleasant experience. I’m a local here and neighbours I know shared the same opinions too. I’m sorry but won’t visit this store again unless I want my day ruined. Will also write a formal complaint letter about my recent experience too as this causes an ongoing inconvenience for customers."
