"Nice refurbishment. Great if you want a pint and a cob. No hot food though hence 4 star."
"Heard good reports about this pub . Went Saturday night for a few drinks . Nice environment and quiet busy with family's mainly ( children asked to leave b4 7pm) people coming & going most of the night so obviously popular. If you've not eaten try the Mammoth rolls freshly made .Board by bar with choice of guest ales & ciders Would go again if in area . Parking on both sides of the pub"
"Awesome pub, wide range of drinks available including several guest ales and ciders. Great atmosphere and decor. Good dart board too. Tons of spacious outdoor seating, most of which is sheltered from the elements too."
"My first visit since its had a complete refurbishment. Nice pub with some great open fires to sit by, also dog friendly. Good selection of beer's, the ales are reasonable priced but the Carling & strongbow cider is very expensive."
"Really nice pub, quite small but there are two rooms available to sit in and also seating on the (small) car park and a small beer garden at the back with children's play equipment. The pub is nicely decorated with pictures of the pub and the local area hanging on the walls, and has a nice, pleasant welcoming atmosphere. The menu is good and prices are reasonable, we were there for drinks after a funeral, so food was provided, the buffet was well presented and fresh. The drinks were nice although it was a little disappointing that there was no ice or lemon/lime to go in my Coke, but it was cold and refreshing. It's on a very busy road, half way up a very steep hill and parking is quite difficult which is a shame, but we do still intend to go there one evening and have a meal. I will edit then to say what the meal was like. I would certainly go there again for a drink and a meal."
