"Amazing food! Authentic food with a twist from a Palestinian owner that’s environmentally cautious and celebrates the diverse tapestry of the area. Ingredients are all farm to table and it tastes refreshing!! Staff was super friendly and welcoming! Just left and I really can’t wait to be come back here again!!"

"Had a lovely brunch here with a group of friends on Sunday. Lovely ambience and beautifully decorated place, staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food was nice but I’ve had better in London. We ordered the labeneh and fava bean ful, in other restaurants I’ve had the bread served warm and the labaneh was smoother for example, little details like that would make it 5 stars. The meghli cheesecake for dessert was tasty. I thought the small dishes were very reasonably priced for west London (£7-10). Mains were a little pricier (£25-28). "As a Palestinian, I was very happy to see a place like Akub open in London. This quaint & cozy space serves innovative twists on traditional Palestinian cooking. Dishes like the Short Rib Fatteh, Bukjet Mousakhan & Shish Barak with Beetroot are delicious & pleasantly light. The dessert, especially the dead sea salt chocolate cake, is out of this world! Akub also serves Palestinian arak, wine & beer, so you get to enjoy a Taybeh or 2 with your meal ;) The decor is on point too - tasteful cultural symbols minus the clichés (no flags or rifles, though of course the spirit is that of Free Palestine)."

"This was my first visit to Akub and I was not disappointed. Went with 4 other people. They had run out of the cheapest wine so second cheapest it was. Really light and interesting red wine from France. The food was excellent and we ordered all but one of the vegetarian list. All very tasty. The pickles and bread were excellent as well. Desserts were had and my favourite was the chocolate cake. Delicious."

"Great food and service in tastefully decorated surroundings. Bit pricey, I'd have felt a bit better if the meat and fish dishes dropped in price by about £4-5 each (we had the musakahan and wara 3inab, both undoubtedly delicious but £29 & £21? Come on). Also, please add knafeh to your dessert menu! Regarding the other reviews, some people need to ask themselves why they thought that a restaurant established by a non-Muslim and has a wine menu would be halal. It's your responsibility to flag your dietary requirements and you need to remember that Palestine is a melting pot of religions, not a monolithic block of halal-observing Muslims."
