"Had a wonderful festive afternoon tea here today, home made food and cakes , Mulled wine and tea. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Had a really nice time."
"Came in to take my mom for some lunch after a walk around the park. There was a huge queue out of the door with only one member of staff serving, the other woman seemed to be more interested in her phone than serving the busy queue. When we sat down after spending almost £30 for quiche and some hot drinks, we overheard the manager rudely shouting at the younger girl serving right in front the customers in the tea room. Incredibly unprofessional service that we received, hats off to the younger girl who by the looks of it seemed to be running the place by herself that day. Will not be returning and would not recommend."
"This is maybe the worst cafe I have been to. The service is terrible. With a queue forming and three staff behind the counter only one seemed bothered to serve. When I did get to be served with a piece of pie, tea and a coffee the server charged £10. Later I found the price for the tea was £2 and the coffee £2.50p a total of £4.50p.meaning the small piece of pie cost £5.50p. I queried the price of the pie with the person who served me and was told it was £3.99p. So why was I charged a total of £10. Without question the person grabbed a handful of coins out of the till and gave them to me. But even then I had been overcharged by 50p. I couldn't be bothered to point this out but this the first and last time I 'll go there"
"A local tea room for local people I got off on the wrong foot. Granted, I should have asked for permission before taking photos. As Cartlands staff meet this action with disapproval. Frowning upon-ness aside I was happy to be in Cartlands. Take a look around and breathe in the history. A member of staff didn’t go into the finer details. He did mention it was once owned by the Cartland family. It was subsequently converted into a school and now is a cafe. I stupidly asked for a coffee, given its name, and the fine crockery that befitted the interior, I should have opted for a tea. Cartlands is split into 2, the cafe with its old fashioned tables, cabinets and chairs and a more modern looking “tea” area. Gauging by the bright, set out Sunday Tea quarters, Sunday tea would be a special experience."
"Me and my family's was enjoying a nice ride around the park when we decided we wanted a sausage roll ,so i ordered 5 yes five and to my disgust i was charged 20 pound yes this is not a joke ,20 pounds ,i was totally shocked and in no uncertain terms told the staff of how disgusting it was ,there come back was a simple "we use organic pork " well i should think so, aren't all animals organic ,the sausage roll on the top of this pic is one of the rolls i paid an average of 4 pounds the one on the bottom is from lidl ,for a pack of six it cost £1.19 im quite sure these are also made with organic pork ,just to put this rant into context 20 pound for five sausage rolls is two and a half hours work for the average person ,just to finish this rant off my severn year old grandson said it tasted awful .i suggest you reevaluate your pricing , because real value for money in todays climate goes a long way .....i for one will not purchase any food of any kind from this tea room unless"
