Reviews of Starbucks
"Whats the point of having a phone if you never answer it"
"Sorry to say, poor excuse for a Starbucks. I think the Starbucks interior design quality checker missed this one. It has a strange and unwelcoming set up. Coffee houses are meant to have a certain feel - an oasis to chill away from the busy world enviroment - this isn't that. Needs a face-lift, it's bleak and sad feeling"
"So where do I start? This Starbucks, is a Starbucks, however is far from what a normal Starbucks is like. I don’t know if it’s because it’s in Sainsburys however it was a really bad experience from the start. Went in, and it felt like a canteen with the seating. I have visited many Starbucks around The West Midlands and this is by far the worst. I also didn’t notice any sockets on the walls for people who normally take in work to do around. The seating was in a very odd layout and was very random. Not cozy or ‘Seattle’ based as advertised. I went in with a friend. I planned to order a small Mocha and my friend trying out the new Pumpkin cold brew. They had a great selection of food and sweet treats. Which was one of the reasons I gave this a two star! So we got served by this lady who asked us what we wanted. Normally my experiences with all Starbucks have been very good with someone greeting me, asking me how my days been and being quite friendly, however I got nothing but a straight face from the lady who served us. However I can’t complain about that!!. So I said we are eating in, and I’ll pay by the Starbucks app, I ordered my mocha and choose a small size, to eat in, I also chose to have an egg mayo sandwich (which was lovely by the way!) When it came to my friend ordering her cold brew with pumpkin crème, she placed the order and without confirming the size, the worker automatically said ‘is that a large’ and both my friend and I were taken aback by this (as my friend is of a larger size) however it was pretty rudely said. She ended up ordering a medium as that’s what she wanted. And this was also to eat in. So we sat down on one of the many chairs they had randomly laid out with our ‘to go’ cups even though we ordered eat in. My friend was the one to collect the food and drinks, and we both noticed that even though 1st. She ordered a regular however what she got given was a small drink. And 2nd. The to go cups we were given even though we said we are eating in. We thought nothing of the to go cups until we saw people after us being served in ceramic cups!! How annoying :/ Right, back to when my friend was picking up the drinks. She noticed that hers looked nothing like what the picture of the pumpkin cold brew depicted. But they didn’t think much of it then. Back to after we sat down. My friend tasted their drink and was not happy with it. The reviews that they had seen on Tik tok of this drink made it seem that it was very nice! And knowing Starbucks, their drinks are pretty decent. However this was definitely not made right. The ‘crème’ that was supposed to drown in the cold brew floated on the top and was not a crème consistency at all but was more liked bubbled whisked milk. My mocha was as bad as Costa! And that mocha is atrocious!! Could hardly taste the choc or coffee was quite milky. Starbucks are known for their awesome sweet and overly sauced drinks, however we noticed people ordering drinks like frappes looked like they were hardley given any caramel sauce! Normally if I was to order a frappe it would be drenched in sauce kindly by the barista however the ‘barista’s’ here seemed like they don’t belong in a Starbucks. Overall, the drinks were made poorly, the seating plan needs a re-do, the baristas need to communicate more with customers and need to actually listen to what is being ordered and just be more like a normal Starbucks rather then a random one which is in the middle of a supermarket. I don’t think I’d be returning back to this branch, however thankfully they have an express machine right outside which I’ll be using! Having a machine make my drink probs works better then having some very moody looking baristas who don’t have that Starbucks charm serve me. Maybe they just need more training? And I swear that it’s the ex sainsburys staff working as baristas as I swear I recognised one of the ladies from when sainsburys had a cafe. Not happy :("
"Great experience, store only just opened but staff are helpful and good service."
"Slow service and a member of staff called Vanessa can’t seem to take your order properly. Added a cappuccino to our order when we didn’t even ask for one. Waited 15 mins for my drink to be made. Don’t recommend this branch."
