"Located in a premium Thames-front spot with a view of Tower Bridge, we chose this restaurant for Christmas lunch this year to treat ourselves and try something different. The front-of-house staff were frantic but understandable given the occasion. The waiting staff were good, were never pushy or too intrusive and didn't try to interrupt us mid-chew to ask if everything was OK. The restaurant interior is well-appointed, albeit slightly on the traditional side. My only comment would be on the bathrooms, where there's a slightly musty smell, and one can see limescale deposits on fixtures, all easily fixable with a quick deep clean. Unfortunately, the real letdown was the food! At an end cost of £165 per head (set menu + one bottle of still water + one glass of wine each), we weren't expecting a life-changing experience but thought it reasonable to expect a flavourful, interesting and hot meal. Every dish was beautifully presented but lacked depth, texture and, sadly, heat. The starters looked and tasted dry. The sides served with the mains felt like they'd been sitting under hot lights since the morning. Also, online reviews from past years mentioned that the restaurant made real efforts towards decking out the space with a real Christmas vibe; however, this year, there were only a few white baubles strung down from the ceiling and paper snowflakes in the windows. No Christmas crackers, gingerbread houses or other decor befitting the festive season, although at least one of the servers was wearing a Santa hat."
"Amazing place and Thames river and tower bridge view. All the dishes are really amazing. We are ordered 2 appetizers /2 mains/1 dessert/1 bottle of wine/1 glass of dessert wine/1 liquor around 384 pounds. Staffs are very professional. There is sommelier comes to your table to explain and pouring the wine. I was very impressive. There is many sections like bistro /restaurants. You can book online."
"Took advantage of the special Evening Standard menu offer at the Le Pont de Ia Tour “Bistrot “ small but varied menu with some tasty food being presented. Very good wines and some delicious cocktails. We were blessed with great weather so sat outside overlooking Tower Bridge. Staff were pleasant and very helpful."
"Lovely, romantic restaurant beside river Thames. To enjoy the wonderful view of Tower bridge with your friends. Savoury French food, attentive service , variety of wine selection. It definitely worth for what you pay. You can choose Bistro or fine dining."
"2.5/5 Stars. Great setting with a killer-view. Well-dressed and pleasant staff that don't overly interrupt your meal conversations. The food is immaculately presented, however the positives for me ended there. The menu didn't excite me and felt extremely limited for a top restaurant. The taste wasn't note-worthy and we left rather disappointed. The lamb lacked punch, and the Dover Sole was lacking a companion—maybe due to its overly salted condition—extra sides are necessary to join the Sole with a partner. Then the price for the food seems excessive for what you enjoy. I understand the location demands higher rates, but if the food isn't on point, what is the point?"
