"Great value for money. The curries for £7 are rather simple but plentiful and tasty enough, perhaps on the spicy side for some customers. The ramen dishes are very good too, with plenty more ingredients and combinations. The gyoza, though small in portion and size, was delicious! Kitchen is fast, service good too, but since it's a small shop it tends to fill up from a minute to the next."
"Staff members are all very welcoming and restaurant was clean. The food was a little greasy but its quality was still good, plus the food was super warm u could notice that it's super fresh. Don't forget that the cooker seemed to be very professional for cooking. No wonder it's always popular"
"TLDR; A very good decent bowl of ramen at a very fair price. Very chilled environment which is perfect for a quick lunch. Yamagoya definitely captures the small local ramen shop vibe with its decor. It uses a lot of wood and neutral colours to give a nice homely and relaxing atmosphere. It also operates like a self serve canteen with limited table service which is not a bad thing at all. This style of casual dining is also reflected in the price. Most bowls are under £10. Although cheaper than most ramen places in London, the portion is generous and fair. The bowl May look smaller but it’s filled to the brim with noodles and toppings. I had the chicken ramen which was lovely. There is a trend of very thick ramen broth in London right now but I’m glad to say that Yamagoya does not go overboard. There is still plenty of flavour too which is a plus. The toppings were well executed too. The egg has a soft yolk and the chicken chashu was not over done. Pretty happy with the taste over all. The only slight disappointment food-wise is the presentation. The noodles are all tangled and the toppings looks like they were just dumped into the bowl in a hurry."
"OVERPRICED, TINY PORTION This place charges way too much for way too little. The portion is so small and makes no sense some soups have 5 meager slice of pork and some have only two! They are so stingy with toppings. My partners bowl of soup was only half full, he politely asked for more broth and was rudely told it came like that and there was no way they would give him more broth. My sisters miso broth was absolutely tasteless. The quality of food is also low, tasted like instant noodles. Katsu curry doenst come with anything in the curry sauce like traditional carrot, onion and potatoe. The portion is genuinely tiny we ate in about 5 mins. The drinks are so expensive. The range of meals on menu is poor too. Wouldn't go back and Wouldn't recommend, you can find much better japanese ramen soups such as in Taro Kennington."
"Went here tonight and food was average (about 3). However the service is what brought the score down. The person at the counter was friendly however when we asked for our bowls to be filled with more broth, the supervisor/manager was stuck up and rude. He told us that this is just the portion size that they don't do 'extra broth'. You'll see in the pictures how much broth comes in the ramen. This wouldn't have been very difficult or put them out of pocket...afterall they use the same broth for all of their ramens. We expected a minimum standard of customer service having read many positive reviews. The bowls are very small and you only get two small pieces of meat. For almost £10 the ramens are not worth your money. The chicken kazu on the other hand had more meat and was quite tasty."
