"Nice good ole Dutch Chinese food, fresh and tasty and pleasant staff..."
"Ordered on the phone from here for pick up, "a small special chow mein with green chillis". I arrived 15 minutes later. The food was done. She charged £20.20. I was shocked. She then tried to say I ordered "four" special chow mein but I told her "no, I asked for a SMALL special chow mein" she went to speak to one of the chefs and then came back and suddenly said "sorry we have no food." I couldn't believe it I replied "how have you have no more food? You have four portions of my order and was about to take £20 pounds from me how can you have no more food?" But she just kept repeating it and then arguing with me. She then said "we are closed. I kept the place open especially for you." And I asked her "why are you lying? It's 10.30, this place closes at 11. I know your times I've been here before." Plus the times were on the leaflet. "Sorry we are closed." Then another customer came in and asked if he could order, she was about to take his order when I turned to him and said "no, they don't close for another half an hour but apparently they are closed now" the lady didn't know what to do, got caught in her own lie. She went to the back to speak to someone again. Came back and immediately just started arguing with me about the four portions. Didn't even acknowledge the other customer so he just walked out. Then I asked her "are you going to give my food or not? You've already made it." To which she replied again "sorry no food" and then when I said I was going to complain about this, she said "go ahead complain". I left and she locked the door behind me. I'm shocked by the treatment of its customers by this place for an error they made. You can't punish your customers for your own mistake. To just keep lying and then not giving the food which you had already made was ridiculous. And I definitely won't be back again. TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS PROPERLY!"
"Fast , consistent good quality dishes. My neighbours and I have been coming here for years . I had the tofu with veg and black bean sauce tonight with boiled rice. I wish I could cook tofu like this : meaty textured with a good umami background. It complemented the crunchy mixed veg perfectly. The black bean sauce had mild chilli heat with just the right amount of saltiness. It soaked well into the fluffy boiled rice. Don’t be put off by the modest exterior of this gem of a takeaway!"
"The best Chinese takeaway I've had! Recommend the roasted duck in Cantonese style, beef ho fun, and beef in black pepper sauce."
"Ordered the special fried rice, salt and pepper squid and chicken chow main for myself and the Mrs. Really good food - highly recommended, not as greasy as you would find in other takeaways! Got free prawn crackers too"
