"Came to Royal China for an impromptu evening meal and surprisingly really enjoyed it! We didn’t have a reservation so we were relieved when we walked into Royal China; they had a table for us within a few minutes. There’s 3 floors and we were seated on the very top floor - it’s hot up there but surprisingly not that congested. All the food was absolutely exquisite and what I enjoyed the most was the lotus leaf wrapped seafood rice. Their chilli oil is also some of the best I’ve ever had!"
"We had wonton soups, the beef with oyster sauce , the sweet and sour chicken, the beef and cashew nuts and the pineapple chicken fried rice with white rice on the side. We had Rekordelig ciders for drinks. It was very nice and tasty. Good ingredients. We ate well. The portions were decent. The only problem was the prices really. Because we were all so hungry and we were already sat at the table we stayed…but had we been less hungry, we would have left due to the prices."
"The environment and food are decent. One of the nicer interiors in Chinatown. Well adjusted AC is a plus during summer. The assortment of dim sum were good. The turnip cake was a bit floury but still passable. Get a rice / noodle dish if you are really hungry and don’t want to order so much dim sum. Also had good experiences at the Canary Wharf location. Royal China has so far been a good Chinese restaurant chain in London. Definitely a go-to when craving and in the area."
"First time trying out dim sum here. Truth be told the price is average £5.50 on the dishes but the quality is decent. Probably aside the beef cheung fun, our fav was the pork puffs with honey glaze on top."
"We went for a random mid week lunch so it was quiet and we had a good table but I must say this was the best dim sum that I have ever had in chinatown. Great presentation and the dim sum was just cooked better than perfection. Wouldn't think anything less of the royal china group. Would highly recommend and even though its a little bit more expensive than the rest of the restaurants it is definitely worth it."
