"Went to long lane dental for my 6 month check up. I didn't mind the 30 min wait in the waiting room. My only grudge is I spent 3 mins in the dentist chair. The dentist looked in my mouth .. said yes all fine.. could do with a hygiene visit if haven't been for a while. Now forgive me if I am wrong but previous times I've been for check ups at the dentist.. they check each of the gum areas by the teeth and grade them 0 to 2 and the dental nurse makes a note. This usually takes about 8 to ten mins. As I said I spent 3 mins in the chair. The whole appointment took 5 mins. Then paid the fee of £23.40 or so. If you times that by 12 gives you an hourly rate of £280 or so. I think my check up was used to catch up with the waiting time as even i had a 30 min delay. A little frustrating I must say."
