"I’ve have been taking my car to this garage for a number of years now and never had any issues up until now. My car needed a new chain in the engine and I was quoted £1000 for it to be fixed, before I could even say anything I was asked if I wanted to scrap my car for £500 (car is worth 3-4k scrap In fully working order). I contacted another garage for a second opinion, as I know nothing about cars, and he agree it was the engine chain that was broken. He quoted me £450 to fix the engine chain and a full service. I also mentioned my handbrake was a-bit lose and he fixed that too. The total price was £500. Please shop around or ask for a second opinion before agreeing to any work done by this garage. £500 different is a ridiculous amount of money to lose out on. Shame on Yates really I think they make the prices up as they go."

"I went in and asked to use the toilet , and to buy a coffee. I had a mask on. I was rudely refused by Dan , saying they were for staff only, no mention of Covid 19 or anything else. Checked on the Shell website - " Shell toilets are for CUSTOMERS and staff", and i've used toilets at other Shell garages , BP etc. I'm a key worker, delivering food in a large van , and my route didn't have anywhere suitable close by. I'm also local , AND , this is the garage i use , as i have a Shell 'Go' card !. Petty , unnecessary staff attitude."
