"Just back from having a meal here. Seriously impressed with the chicken and bacon salad. Large bowl, lovely dressing, moist chicken (and lots of it) and plenty of bacon. My partner and daughter had steak and ale pie and cheese pie. The pastry tasted homemade, filling generous and the chips were amazing - crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. We had to wait a while gor our food but weren't bothered because when it arrived it was so worth the wait. First time eating here but definitely not the last."

"Great backyard. Spacious enough for a large gathering. Kids menu was awesome. Under 4 pounds and got lots of food. Beer price was affordable and wide variety. Can't wait to return on Sunday for the Sunday meals. Oh, and the staff was very friendly. I am just a guy passing through the village with two Kids and was lucky enough to have eight days to explore the wonder of the area."
