"Been here a few times, most notably on the afternoon I retired on a sunny late summer day. Martin Meerkat says he has cold feet! (OK..it is the lads local in the TV series Cold Feet.) Had a pint of Stiff Upper Lip Pale Ale from By the Horns brewery, Surrey. Lovely 3.8%. Martin had Peroni. Lovely airey bar with great outdoor seating. Outdoor summer bar. Large car park but gets busy. Function room for up to 120. Food sold e.g. £14.50 for Haddock n chips. Do Scoobie snack bar snacks..3 for £15. ( Scotch eggs, chicken bites etc.) Well worth a visit."
"Been here a few times for food and drink in the last two years. The staff are excellent and very friendly, the décor and seating is very homely and the atmosphere of the pub is welcoming and relaxing - plus dog friendly so many four legged friends to spot. The food is in general is good quality and the menu is catering for all dietary requirements and extensive, however occasionally an item or two isn't cooked or prepared the best. But staff and management are considerate when things go wrong and try to make it right which is commendable. Found sometimes later into the evening the in app/at table ordering closes for orders but still takes payment when the bar is still open, and so no drinks get delivered. Something to keep an eye on if your drink hasn't arrived for a while - check at the bar."
"EDIT. Been invited back after our last meal. They completely turned the table. Really loved it this time. Food was great, all of us massively enjoyed it. The service was spot on. Thank you for having us back and definitely see you again. See new pics (the one after the pumpkin) to understand. My starter was the Korean chicken and it was really tasty and juicy. The marinade gives it a kick. Home made nachos were superb. Not too crispy, very good. My main was the pork belly. So tender I wouldn’t need a knife to cut it. Mustard mash and the sauce were great too. We also had the home made bread which came piping hot, amazing. My bf and my friend all enjoyed their food too. Came for a bday with some friends. I ordered one starter, Prawns and chorizo. Perhaps I shouldn’t have. 5 frozen overcooked and tough prawns with 5 slices of chorizo (not the one that should be used for cooking) which was quite tough too. My main course was the roasted pumpkin. I’ve taken a bite of it and left the remaining. Completely unseasoned, not even salted. And, opposed to the starters, undercooked. A real shame. When mains arrived, I still had my starter plate in front of me which hadn’t been cleared in time. Half the table still had starter plates when mains arrived. When the waitress cleared my main course, perhaps she noticed that I had barely touched it but nothing was asked nor checked if something was wrong with it. Therefore I did not give a feedback at the time, because I wasn’t asked for one. Ordered a drink on the QR code (not a cocktail) and it took 25 minutes to arrive. My friends at the table ordered cocktail after me and received it before me. I really can’t tell if there was a problem with staffing or if this is the usual way you run the restaurant side of your business. If the latter, please look into it and perhaps try to better it. I can usually empathise when something goes wrong, but the service and food received on my visit was just really bad. On top of it, the food costed me £21, which I would have happily spent If it was good. But by the quality of it, the whole thing is overpriced."
"Great pub, very spacious and dog friendly. Water top up at the bar. Lots of choice for Sunday roast Inc a platter to share. Kids portions were a bit too big but great value and quality. Could offer a smaller size for younger kids. Carrots needed to be cooked longer."
"Really nice place to get a beer on the terrace with some food- not overly expensive for the area. They have an upstairs area which is pretty neat. Definitely worth checking out."
