The Brasserie Saint Katharine's Way, London E1W 1LD

"This applies to Vicinity, one of the restaurants at this hotel Great view and location but food was average and service poor. Waiter brought two drinks swiftly but not water that we’d requested at the same time. That didn’t happen till after our meals arrived and I went to the bar. The bangers and mash didn’t include the mushy peas, but the waiter insisted upon taking away the entire dish instead of just bring the peas on the side, as I’d tried to insist upon. When he returned with the new plate, after 10 minutes, I had no cutlery and had to go fetch my own."

"Lovely afternoon tea, great selection of tea's, sandwiches and cakes. Only let down was our reservation was made months in advance, I called the day before to reconfirm and on arrival they did not have us booked in, also a real shame that we wernt allowed to take the afternoon tea outside, it was a blistering hot day (and was extremely hot in the restaurant) and it was relatively quiet outside, made no sense that people were having lunch outside but we wernt allowed?"

"Very pleasant lunch in The Brasserie with couple of friends. We've had Octopus, Goat's cheese salad and Caprese salad as starters. All delicious and very nicely presented. As a main I had fish and chips as I haven't had it for ages. Great choice, cooked very well just as I like it. Also team was so accommodating that there was no problem with swapping mashy peas to garden peas and thick cut chips to fries. All in all well recommended."

"I went here for afternoon tea. It was quite expensive at around 25 pounds. For this price you get tea (which was ok), a scone (which was good, for a scone), some finger sandwiches (which were ok), and a few small desserts (which were ok). Not worth the price. They do serve the food on a nice Tower Bridge shaped teired platter though. Location is nice with a partial view of Tower Bridge."

"The Afternoon Tea was a treat for my Mom. We both really enjoyed it. We did not expect the food to be so filling. It was very satisfying. I just wished we had a window seat."
