Reviews of Bread Street Kitchen & Bar - St Paul's
"Absolutely lovely food and staff! This is the first time we ever visited any restaurants by Gordon Ramsay and we are absolutely blown away! The staff members were all so friendly and nice, especially Thea! (Hope I didn’t butcher her name). We reached a little before the dinner crowd so we had time to hold a little conversation with Thea and that was absolutely lovely. Food was amazing! The beef wellington was out of this world. Mashed potatoes so creamy and smooth! Drinks were also reasonably priced and very good. What an experience"
"Food looks great but taste was a bit underwhelming. Burger was dry (the only options for temperature were medium well or well done) and everything was completely swimming in salt. Not a bad experience but there's better (and cheaper) elsewhere. Atmosphere was good"
"Was excited to finally be able to eat dinner at Bread Street. Visiting from Canada, we wanted the opportunity to eat in a Gordon Ramsey restaurant and to try the infamous Beef Wellington. We were not disappointed! The meat was a perfect medium rare and absolutely delicious. Pastry was the perfect consistency. Very worth it. We enjoyed the tuna tartare while waiting, which was also tasty. Highly enjoyed out dining experience. One thing to note, it wasn’t clear when we entered that the restaurant was upstairs (and not in the pizza place). Not sure if there was a sign we missed, but that was our moment of confusion. Once we went upstairs everything make more sense."
""Finally, some good fu**in food" We went to one of the other locations first, unfortunately they don't have the Beef Wellington every day, so we were directed to the main location. Although we didn't have a reservation, we got one of the best tables at the upstairs window thanks to the restaurant manager. We were greeted, served and seen off by the staff in an extremely friendly manner throughout. Here I would like to highlight the very friendly service of Vanessa. She inquired about our well-being from time to time, but was not intrusive at any time. Now to the food: Although we didn't have breakfast and were very hungry we didn't quite make the Beef Wellington Experience. From front to back an exceptionally good menu, though not cheap. Gordon Ramsey enchanted us in every respect, not only was the Beef Wellington absolutely perfect, but the side dishes, appetizer and dessert were also excellent. The visit was worth every penny and I am already looking forward to my next visit to London. It's probably worth mentioning that we were there for about 3 hours from arrival to finish. So for the Beef Wellington Experience you should plan a little time and rest. I will gladly come back anytime and can recommend a visit to this restaurant to absolutely everyone."
