"We have booked the afternoon tea at Kensington hotel town house to also celebrate my son's 3rd birthday. Everything was well prepared, we are thrilled by the warm happy birthday message card, the teddy bear as a souvenir gift and the delicious chocolate opera with a candle on it. My son may forget this birthday arrangement, but thanks for making him feel so loved which will surely last for a long time."
"Last minute reunion with a friend. Chose the beautiful hotel for afternoon tea. The receptionist acknowledged our request for afternoon tea. She asked us to wait next door and efficiently got a table ready for my party. The waiter chatted with the next table and ignored us. He finally came around to tell us afternoon tea was for bookings only. We were ready to settle for drinks only. Our friend showed up. The same waiter came by to offer afternoon tea and then said it's not available as if it's up to his discretion. We had our drinks and switched location for food."
"The best breakfast in the area in a gorgeous hotel, beautiful design and best customer service."
"Had a lovely afternoon tea here with my best friend. The service was excellent, and we felt incredibly welcome. The decor and atmosphere were lovely and relaxing, and it felt like a special experience. The warm bites we had at the beginning of the meal along with the sandwiches were absolutely delicious (and we liked the little London eye they were served on), but I found all their deserts to be lacking (only had a small bite of them in fact). So that was a little disappointed. The beautiful mousse rose was a work of art, but had an unpleasant rubber quality to it that did not make it nearly as enjoyable to eat. But overall we had an absolutely lovely visit."
"I found this lovely-looking afternoon tea, and I really wanted to try it. This spot is inside the beautiful Kensington Hotel. We walked in from the main front door of the Kensington hotel, and the staff guided us towards the back to where the Town House is located. Once seated, our server explained their current afternoon tea offering. It is called the London Landmarks Afternoon Tea, and features all the major landmarks around the city. The menu was quite lovely, and came with a London map of all the notable and historic landmarks. The afternoon tea will feature many of these landmarks, and you get to see what they are, and where they are. The map is given to the patrons as a souvenir, which I thought was really nice! First, we were served with their “Savouries” course. I didn’t know we were going to receive anything other than whatever comes on the three-tier afternoon items, so we were delighted! They were all so very tasty! After we were finished with them, they brought out this beautiful stand in the shape of London Eye! Wow! They call their menu “a celebration of London” and I totally agree! It was fun to eat desserts in the shapes of famous buildings. The service was excellent! Courteous, warm, and polite. We were very well taken care of the entire time. Thank you! If you are in London and want to try some tasty afternoon tea, filled with everything that is London, give this place a try!"
