Reviews of Daquise
"Great place. Have eaten here twice. Most recently for lunch after a visit to the nearby science museum. The restaurant has a nice old-world feel to it. The food is tasty across the board. Quite reasonably priced for the most part, especially considering the location. Friendly enough service. Accommodating of kids. Definitely worth a visit."
"Food is 6 stars, best meal all 3 of us had in a while. BUT, the main was almost smaller than the starter/soup... please take the feedback onboard I've seen reviews complaining about this for years. The Ukrainian Borscht was amazing, all 3 of us were blown away and the flavour. The dumplings were in order of flavour: onion, cabbage, meat. The best meal was the Hunter's stew and then the veal escalopes, we don't recommend the Tenderloins in mustard."
"If you’d look at this charming little venue and it’s name you’d might assume French cuisine is being served here. The menu however consists of 100% Polish dishes. Being Polish myself I can attest to authenticity of the food served here, with every dish transporting me to my grandma’s kitchen, being 8 again. Can’t think of a better compliment."
"3.5 Stars would be accurate. Nice place with its soul. But highly overpriced for what they offer. If you’re Polish or have eaten a lot in Poland you probably won’t be fully satisfied. Although the soup and 2 out of 3 dumplings were delicious, the main course was a disaster. I have no idea how come it’s so disproportionate. It’s the same thing when it comes to the staff - the lady was lovely, the guys were giving a bit of attitude. The waiter took the main course off our bill to increase our satisfaction so heads up for this!! This made me think to give them a second chance. I think there is very little to do to make this place absolutely fabulous looking at the fact that a half of the things I ordered were delicious and half weren’t tasty at all"
"Everything was perfect! The waiter was super nice and very friendly I much enjoyed being served by him. The food! Jeeeeesh! Amazing! Super tasty, hot and made from the best ingredients. Great selection of dishes and a nice selection of flavoured Polish vodkas. The interior is rough yet super cozy. Will be retuning soon!"
