"Called in Whittakers Bolton for a replacement school rugby top for my grandson. The one he owned had been damaged in the wash he has owned it since last September it had always been a snug fit size 30/32 so spending money on a new one it seemed logical to go for the next size up to allow for growing room. To my dismay the next size up was large enough for a grown man! it was huge my grandson is a slim lad of 5ft tall so this was no use to him whatsoever. Due to the immediate need to replace the original rugby shirt and Whittakers unable to offer a decent alternative the smaller one has had to be purchased again at £17.99 . The fact Whittakers pride themselves as being a long standing established company yet still in 2023 you do not stock such items by age only by chest size which for us has been a waste of time and money so little choice is ridiculous unfair unacceptable and archaic."
"Fantastic customer service. We were served by Nathan on a hot day, I was a flustered mum with 2 kids in tow specifically looking for good quality school trousers. We did have to queue but that was to be expected during the summer holidays. Nathan was very attentive, calm, helpful and so polite. Even my son mentioned to me how well mannered and nice this young man was. Thank you for making what was going to be a stressful shopping experience very easy."
"Amazing service, Loads of friendly staff all more than happy to help. Huge range of stock every you could ask for. I was really let down when an Online order I had placed had not been processed, meaning I had very little time to buy almost the entire uniform for two children both starting different schools. I was served by Jade, who made the hole ordeal stress free and an absolute pleasure. Turns out I would have ordered completely the wrong sizes, so was actually far better going in and trying on. Cant recommended Whittaker's highly enough."
