"We've tried this place for the first time and we were amazed by the food quality and the service. We had two mains (one chicken and one vegetarian) and they were both delicious; rice, bread and one beer and we paid £37 including service. I also want to mention Swapnil as he was super kind giving us suggestions and offering also a sorbet at the end of the dinner. We'll definitely come back and this is the best Indian restaurant near Putney Bridge station."
"Yes there is a slight wait for food, because it is made fresh!! We are from the USA and this place is the best Indian food we have had in the world!!! Absolutely amazing. The stuffed peppers!!! We have been multiple times during our week stay. A true Jem off the beaten path."
"Terribly slow service! Average food, No Ambience. I rarely post a bad review as I understand it's not easy managing a restaurant but I have to be honest with my feedback. The great reviews encouraged us to visit the restaurant but our experience couldn't have been worse. The restaurant wasn't busy and having made a booking we expected prompt service. We were quick to order and went with the recommendations. To our disappointment everything from our drinks to food took ages to arrive. The 1.5 hrs we were there we just managed to get a drink and meagre portions of starters. Had no choice but to leave hungry and angry. We saw other people arrive after us and served multiple courses while we waited. When asked how long would it take we were told the food is on its way but it never arrived. If certain items take time to prep, the cooking time is managed accordingly so that the customer doesn't have to wait too long or manage their expectations. I must also address something controversial. It is not unheard of that Indians get second class treatment at Indian restaurants. But we genuinely felt our order was de-prioritised just because we are from the same country and therefore ok to wait. You can tell an Indian restaurant is good if you see Indian customers, which wasn't the case at Pure. Deliveries or non Indian customers were clearly prioritised. There are definitely many Indian restaurants out there with better food, better service, better ambience, better quality but Pure unfortunately isn't one."
"Absolutely incredible! I was craving Indian cuisine and this restaurant came highly recommended in the area I was staying from google, and my goodness it definitely lived up to its expectations! My lovely server Swapnil recommended me the Patra Chaat for my starter and its the most beautiful array of flavours in your mouth, this is made in house and its their original recipe so you wont find it anywhere else, I recommend you to definitely try it you will be thoroughly impressed. My main dish was the butter chicken absolutely scrumptious the level of spice was just perfect. All in all blown away by the food, the ambiance of the restaurant is so cosy and comforting and my server Swapnil was so attentive, kind and welcoming. I will be recommending you to all of my friends and family and you will surely see me back sooner than later. Thank you Pure Indian Cooking :)"
