Reviews of Shree Sai Vadapav
"Sometimes you get surprised and this restaurant did just that. I was a little early for my train and this venue is just across the station. So I went in for a quick bit. I had the vada pav and the masala dosa. All I can say is wow, the dishes were excellent. These are simple indian street foods but when it’s done right it just hits the spot and this place does just that."
"Went to eat second time at this place considering the food was good but I was surprised to see that they charged me almost 2£ VAT which is always included in the price and 40p just for a small portion of chutney which they should inform a customer that we charge extra when they ask for it. The lady just gave me the machine without giving me the bill and later I checked I was charged VAT & for the chutney. I guess the staff just wanted to make some extra money, when I called they didn’t pass on the phone to the owner who is Mr. Patel. Never going back again to this place ever again and won’t recommend anyone to go there. But if u want to be overcharged for no reason go for it. Terrible terrible experience."
"Do not order from here! There are loads more Indian street food restaurants in the area that are much better than this place. Ordered x2 pav bhaji and the bhaji came like a soup, basically blended it before they sent it. Was so runny was inedible. The pav's were soggy drenched in butter but clearly just warmed up not toasted. One extra pav I ordered was missing. I called them to speak to the manager to let him know my order was not acceptable and the lady who answered was so rude. She told me to call back tomorrow which I was happy to do but wanted to know who I was talking to so that I can mention to the manager that I had at the time of noticing the order was in the state that it was refused to give me her name and hung up. Call was not disconnected because when I called back she didn't pick up. Waste of money, threw the food away and would definitely never order again or recommend to anyone. Cheap quality and awful customer service."
"The chilli paneer wrap was very tasty and was good value. The unlimited thali came with masala potato and lentil curry, butter milk, roti, 1 dhokla piece, papad and kadi. The idli were ready made and heated in the microwave. They were hard and not very appealing. However the sambar and coconut chutney that accompanied the idly tasted good. Dress code: casual Cost: £ Food: Tasty Service: Adequate Ambience: Calm, cafe like"
