Reviews of the Orpington Café & Record Store
"I had such a wonderful time going to the Orpington! I feel lucky we are locals to a place like this. The menu is a sophisticated take on classics. Everything is homemade and fresh, with an attention to detail in each dish. Music was great. Beer menu, excellent. I had a salt beef sandwich and it was perfect. We both wanted to order the whole menu and are looking forward to coming back. Scott also seems to care about his team, and that matters. To anyone saying it's a bit pricey: You get what you pay for, and that's never been more true than here. High quality, locally sourced ingredients with well thought-out menus, and a warm and personable experience."
"I have been wanting to try The Orpington for some time now, as the reviews were very good and I have to say it did not disappoint. From the moment myself and my husband walked in, the welcoming and the service was impeccable. The staff were very polite and friendly. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with great music. And we love that it's a record shop too. The food was amazing. You can tell that the ingredients are really fresh. It was well presented and just delicious. The coffee is lovely too. I would say for what you get, the prices are reasonable. I would happily pay those prices for good quality food and excellent service all day long and that's certainly what we got from The Orpington. We can't wait to go back and try something different on the menu. We would highly recommend. And please be polite to the staff, they are lovely. We noticed a few diners who forgot their manners."
"What a pleasant breakfast I had there ! As the very basic tourist I am I HAD to get the classing English breakfast, and it was a BANGER ! The avocado toast was also delicious. The breakfast tea + oat milk is literally the best I ever had, the waiters are sooo kind and playful, music is great, I'll definitely come back next time I visit UK !"
"Reserved a table and needed to. Wednesday lunchtime was busy. People wanting great tasting food, friendly servers, good jokes and explaining everything e.g. where to buy the handwash from, this is your place! We felt so welcome and ordered well. Mackerel to die for with fresh produce couldn't have asked for more. Decided on a dessert ended up eating my other halfs as well as mine! So fresh and not sickly sweet. So good 5/5! Family run, positive vibes. Will defo go back!"
"Really nice cafe with great sophisticated food. Bit pricey but worth it! They sell records inside as well."
