"The food was pretty good but pricey! The atmosphere and lack of table service make the price questionable.."
"Beautiful food. The jollof rice was cooked to perfection and the chicken was moist and tender. Absolutely wonderful food. Would thoroughly recommend Bongo."
"First of all restaurant needs much improvement both service and cooking. We ordered guinea fowl and it was very dry , not seasoned and didn't taste fresh ,kebab stick tasted old and with no much flavour just too much pepper, it didn't taste fresh also, more like pregrilled and reheated. Jollof tasted bland and hard. The table we sat was wonky and dangling. In middle of dinner with lots of diners, owner decided to take all the bins out and cause a stink and dripping mess on the floor for everyone to enjoy, it's unhygienic and unforgivable. Food standard inspectors need pay unexpected visit. Honestly it's out order for the hard working money people owned not worth paying for that kind of service and poor tasting food. We end up going to Turkish grill ."
"Been ordering here in person over the years Never had a bad experience until today. This time it was ridiculous. Ordered online for pick up came to collect 1hour later. No order went through they stated online doesn’t work. I said how is someone at home supposed to know it doesn’t work when everything went through?!? Staff seemed annoyed at me for speaking up. I said forget it and lady said wait it’s coming. So I waited another 15mins. Food came and the fish had no garnish at all(onions&Tomatoes) and my special instructions ignored. What’s is more annoying Food bland. Not worth the money. Will have been good to be offered a discount for the inconvenience. Rude and obnoxious man at front desk too. No sense of social distancing and very abrupt. Won’t be eating here for a long while. Maybe standards will be better."
"It has been a long time since I last came here. It looks much improved, cleaned and less noisy with loud music. The service was good and professional. Food pricing is reasonable, with goat soup at £6. Nice kelewele (spiced fried plantain) and Guinea fowl (locally known as Akonfɛ). Would recommend."
