"What a delicious Birthday meal! I live locally, and had never dined at Anokhi before, but I saw recently on Enfield Vegans/Love Your Doorstep Enfield Facebook pages that they have expanded their vegan menu, so decided to book. Every dish was delicious. We were told that the chef makes his own spices, and everything tasted really fresh and authentic. Every main course option is available with tofu, which is fab for vegans/veggies. The tofu is cooked to perfection - even my dad, a lifelong meat eater, who has never really eaten tofu, was raving about it! We were also lucky enough to sample the restaurants new sauce, Dr Naga, which we really enjoyed! Will not hesitate to come here again. Already have a list of friends and family who I know will love it! Thank you for a great Birthday night."
"Absolutely delicious fresh and tasty food, lovely atmosphere family run restaurant, you can definitely taste the food and all the different spices and ingredients added. Highly recommend 100% and price’s very reasonable for 4 people"
"Absolutely inedible. Onion bhajis are like bullets, rock hard, dry and zero flavour. Ordered a butter chicken curry received a korma. Phoned to notify them, after four of them arguing with each other on the phone the employee swore at me and told me not to complain. Then resent a korma out of spite. Heavy on coconut, curdled milk looks like vomit! Shocking. Reviews must be fake as its barely passable for a curry. AVOID. Ive seen pics uploaded and is not the same place. UPDATE! Have just read restaurant reply, its not in answer to issues we have had so its clear they have had many complaints this evening and have us confused with another customer. Its an unprofessional and ill thought out response clearly written in anger. If you fancy a local Indian don't order here. Takeaway is not their forte. It was clear driver has had many previous issues of resending food and he said he felt bad knocking on our door again. Have attached pics. £35 wasted and straight in bin. Even local Mr fox wouldn't go near this!"
"EAT HERE!!! (I'm also adding CHOCOLATE SAMOSA at the start to grab your attention) Sorry for shouting, but I wish I could give 6 stars. This is the best indian food I've had in a very long time, if not ever. Forget your standard poppadoms, chicken tikka massala and onion bhaji, go with naga chicken wings, paneer momo or wonton, South Indian cuisine at it's finest, this food is incredible. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, the menu is so different, yet incredible. The platter for starter was out of this world, from the salmon, to the chicken, to the lamb, sheek kebab and then chicken wings. The mains are a different level, you won't find this outside of Michelin star and certainly not for this price. You can feel the love and passion that goes into every plate and every meal. If you're still reading now, you're about to find about the CHOCOLATE SAMOSA for dessert! Why this isn't the staple in every curry house in the entire UK I don't know, but I'm happy I've found it here and I would go back just for this even if the food was average. But it's not, this restaurant is curry not as you know it, or even what you think it should be, it's what you're local Indian was born to be and wishes it was. Just go here and try for yourself! Before I forget, great for vegetarians, every main is available as a vegetarian option as well, all prepared separately so there's no cross contamination! Basically my review is, "EAT HERE, you won't regret it!", unless just boiled rice, chicken tikka massala and a few poppadoms is what you want, in which case this restaurant is wasted on you. 6 stars!"
"We always have take aways from here and it’s always been delicious and we have just been to the restaurant to try their Thali. It’s super tasty!!!!!! You can see how much enjoyed it by looking at those plates. Anokhi is truly the hidden gem of Winchmore Hill. ❤️"
