"A small Indian restaurant which was very busy. They have seating downstairs and upstairs. We had to wait 10mins for a table to be free. As soon as one was available, it was cleaned and then we were seated. Order was taken within 10mins. Food came within 20mins. The street food they do is so tasty. It is well presented. The chaats were top hit with this restaurant. The starters were rubbish and would avoid if I decide to visit next time. They do thigh piece chicken throughout which is a very big disappointment. Restaurant please take note... Breast piece is more popular and goes better with the dishes. Hate the taste of thigh piece chickens. The main course was good. The naan bread was proper fresh. The Daal and the egg curry was good but just needed bit of flavour. The butter chicken was my favourite. The taste was so good. Only issue was that it came with thigh piece chicken which killed the joy. We could not order dessert as the kitchen closed and the waiters failed to let us know. You guys could have made extra £30 from me only if you had told me that kitchen is closing and if we wanted to order any dessert. Customer service was OK but could be better. They seemed liked not caring as much. Either they are so busy and not able to cope and therefore need more staff or they just don't care at all. They did not provide proper service. I had to ask for basics such as wet towels. Some of the food I did not touch as I hated the taste. That was the starters but the waiters failed to ask if anything was wrong or take it off the bill. The toilet downstairs smelt so bad that even flies were dying in there and the kitchen was right next to the toilet. This place needs proper cleaning."
"Food that taste like explosion in your mouth, so tasty! Loved every dishes that we have ordered. Will definitely be coming back for more."
"Went here for Valentine's Day with my fiance. Had the best night. Food was delicious. Staff were so friendly and sweet especially Jyot. The drinks were super unique. I also left the restaurant with a gift that they gave me for Valentine's Day. The traditional Indian box with chocolates inside was honestly the icing on the cake. An amazing traditional indian restaurant. Can't wait to go again!"
"We visited last week and we were extremely happy with the service we got. Food and cocktails were amazing. We got served by Kevin, my God what a superstar, very funny guy, fast and efficient. We will definitely visit again, highly recommended"
"Dhaba@49 never disappoints. This time we went for the brunch menu and came out happy. We ordered a fair bit from the menu and were very satisfied with everything. The way food was served was exactly Dhaba style, which added to the experience. In terms of food, we ordered Chole bhature (they could make it more tangy and spicy), aloo puri, anda bhurji with paratha, masala tea and mango lassi. Everything was great. They have also added Tandoori momos to the menu and they were amazing too. Will visit again soon."
