The New Cod

"I've been meaning to try this place for a while as I've heard a very good things and boy I was not disappointed. The place was busy which is a a good sign, the staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful. The food was cooked fresh for us there and then so we had about a 15 minute wait. The fish and chips came in a box with the peas in a pot inside so when we got home nothing was soggy as it usually is in a bag or tray. There was a really good choice of food items not just the usual fish and chips they had corn dogs too."

"Service was really good and cleanliness spot on. But wasn't fussed on the food. We got the sweet and sour chicken, it didn't look appetising when we opened it. Looked like someone had just thrown tomato sauce on top of chicken."

"Love this place best chippy in town Friendly staff good prices and the food is amazeing from the chips to the salt and pepper box not had a bad meal there yet. The halloumi fries are a must. Plus they do battered mars bars etc."

"First time here since refurb and new owners took over. The place was immaculate. Refurb has made such a difference. Ordered fish dinner. Huge portion. The meal was served in a box. The fish was hot and well cooked, chips were great. Meal came with a portion of peas and tartare sauce in the box. Was then packed in a paper bag. Therefore able to recycle. Very friendly staff. Was very busy but wait time wasn't too long. Girl who was serving thought I'd asked for two dinners but I only wanted one. Was quickly reimbursed with no fuss. Will definitely be back."
