"Waited too long for service had to find some one to take the order. Furter long wait for starters and main course, additional long wait for sweet menu, no one returned to take the order. Called it a day. Overall food was good service appalling. premises did not appear over full to account for poor service. Staff pleasant."

"Decoration was good. Waitress was very good and worked hard. The Menu was quite expensive and sadly not very good. I ordered Angus burger and chips and that was literally what I received. No side salad or garnish to make the meal look better than McDonald's My fellow diners were not impressed either. We did receive some vouchers which we didn't ask for that made us feel better but still very disappointed"

"Good vibes at this country pub. Well worth making the effort to find it off the beaten track near Helsby. Real fires in the winter and great views in the summer, only downside is they don't sell Guinness!"

"The service was slow, considering we prebooked our menu. Sat down at 1:30pm and we didn't leave til 5:20pm! The food was not great either. Roast potatoes were hard and dry. The Christmas pudding was small and seemed microwaved for how tough and rubbery it was. It's a shame because it's a lovely place!"
