"Nice atmosphere, staff were lovely. Cocktails were great. Food was quite good for the peak district, but not 'wow', given the price. Also got pretty bad food poisoning, but I'd chalk it up as an accident; the place was spotless."
"The food was immaculate. The service was perfect. It was a real treat and I look forward to coming again."
"The tasting menu is a must. The Bloody Mary sorbet was bursting with flavour. The theatre of serving with a narrative of every dish added to the experience. Beautifully presented and an experience in taste and texture in rustic surroundings."
"Incredible experience at Lovage last night and the tasting menu is not the one to be missed. We started with the freshly baked granary bread with marmite butter and the crispy shell. They were both out of this world. The highlight of the day was the Bloody Mary sorbet that came with the tomatoes and they were such a good combo. Halibut was well cooked and loved the flavour profile with the sapphire. 3 desserts within the menu which was unusual but each one of them were made to perfection. I love the pineapple dish but the last yogurt one was something to look forward to. Refreshing and light finish to a summer evening."
"A stunning culinary experience is all I can say. Food was stunning from start to finish as you'd expect. Staff were adept in their skills and descriptions. There was nothing to detract from a fantastic evening. Visit, you have nothing to lose."
