"Came in for some late breakfast, the place is fresh and clean, the two members of team Josh and Elaine were friendly and professional, fantastic place to be!!"

"Staff were pleasant but we waited too long (40mins) for first order of the day to be served. They did however give us a compensatory drink."

"Birley has always been a good pub to me but since new management have taken over they seem to have forgotten all the locals that have kept the place going for many years and on a Friday night I've never seen it so bad it'd not a nice place due to wrong clientel and smells of weed all the time just doesn't give the pub a good vibe need to get rid of this dunno what it's like on a Saturday hopefully much better"

"Sorry to give one star for my local but we’ve just gone for a family meal here. We’ve not eaten here for many years as the food was very poor. After a recent refurbishment we decided to give it a go, 4 adults 1 child (6). Not many people eating but we thought we’d give it a try, never again! The food took over 30 minutes, would have been longer if I’d not asked where it was (no one else was eating but us, so they really weren’t busy). It eventually turned delivered by the barman I’d asked to check. My mega mixed grill was warm, the sausages were burnt as was the gammon, onion rings nearly cold, my sons meal was the same, the only hot meal was 2 sizzlers which I’m guessing is there signature meal. The staff behind the bar were great but the ‘chef’ I use that word loosely is very bad. We’ll be back drinking as it’s a good local for drinking but we’ll be avoiding the food."
