"We had Sunday Lunch here and the food was lovely. Superb value for money, considering the quality. Staff were very friendly and welcoming us and our 3 dogs."

"Lovely traditional pub, but not dated or rundown. We were made to feel very welcome and soon warmed up after getting soaked on the way over. We had an excellent Sunday Roast with all the trimmings, and the pork belly with black pudding bon bons, plus fantastic crackling. Both dishes were delicious and good value. It's a bit odd not to have chicken as an option on the roasts because a lot of people choose not to eat red meat, however I was very happy with the lamb which was tender and flavourful."

"Really lovely tasty food with great service from the waiting staff. We had the seafood starter and the soup, both great along with gammon and a gammon roast. Lovely atmosphere with the log fire too."

"Used to visit in the 70s entertaining clients but it's changed as you would expect and was not as remembered. The staff were great the view is fantastic and someone in that kitchen has a lot of flair. Will definitely stop off for lunch if passing in the future."
