"Visited on 12/11 - The food was great and their service was excellent. The staff are very polite and friendly especially Shak! Recommend to book a table due to how busy it gets. Never had a bad experience and been here a few times now. Food is always good and consistent."
"One star for service as the guy who served us was good. Chicken biriyani had old and or burnt chicken and my son didn’t even eat one piece. When I spoke to I assume owner of restaurant about it he insulted my intelligence as if I don’t know how biriyani is made tastes or looks like. When you mix chicken curry with rice and give it a spin in Karahi and serve it,that’s not biriyani. Mix grill priced at £19.99 please refer to picture and don’t believe in words alone. Kebabs been torn in to two pieces with hand to make it look like it’s two and not one kebab. Please at least use knives to cut food as per hygiene. Lamb tikka was raw chewy uncooked and we didn’t eat any. Three lamb chops again not cooked properly left half eaten because of that. Chapli kebab which owner claimed he sells hundreds of Kgs per week are made out of beef unlike others using lamb or mutton. Please humour me here how does you selling this amount makes it good or made from beef(unadvertised or declared in menu or otherwise) makes the taste justifiable is beyond me. I asked the waiter to choose best Karahi for us as it’s our first time he chose lamb charsi Karahi. Very disappointing again. I asked it to be spicy and the only way they can make it spicy is put plenty of green chilli and I mean plenty of raw green chilli and once you take a bite at it. It’s so overwhelming that you only think of drinking water to calm your taste buds down. I have had lamb Karahis from Bradford all the way down south at Southampton and I know when I eat good Karahi. However owner again was very proud to tell me hundreds of kg meat they sell as Karahi a week. And even suggested sarcastically to give me bottle of water to calm my taste buds. Here’s the thing brother (owner) I traveled from reading and must have left 1000s of restaurants to come to yours upon my friends misguided suggestion and didn’t want to give you any feedback as I had no intention of coming back however upon insistence I chose to give my feedback face to face. I am Pakistani fan of Pakistani food and know food business inside out as we have successfully established food business ourselves and I am in Google’s top 10 restaurant reviewers it’s not a boast but a fact. Just stating it like I was with your food. Didn’t ask or needed anything from yourself but just simple acknowledgment that feedback taken on board. Why is it necessary to justify the unjustifiable by boasting how much you sell and how good you are with others. What matters to me may not matter to anyone else however by being dismissive and countering my opinion with your SALES per week is childish and or naive. What I was expecting that We do our best and as per your taste our best is not good enough. End of. Needless to say I want ever come back One because of taste Second because of your dealing with my sincere polite humble albeit opinionated feedback."
"Absolutely wonderful experience at Shinwari Dera last night. Food was delicious and fast service. Will definitely come again. Staff were good too great customer service. Nice family seating. Highly recommended."
"Very good service and taste - in terms of decor, it can improve. Seating looks like ex American diner seating and so do the colors. Maybe staff dress in traditional Shinwari attire with authentic music and atmosphere and yes music was very loud until one customer got it turned off for prayer which was a relief."
