Reviews of El Diablo Tequila & Taco Bar
"First time to Manchester After a good gig at Victoria warehouse we ended up at deansgate This club had the shortest line but still took 30mins to get in, still excited and look forward to the rest of out time out. (i could not understand why, perhaps a 1 in 1 out access? Should of realised from the shortest queue that it would not be great) Got in and the took 20mins to get a drink a bad vibe in the atmosphere weighed on our positive outlook. To follow, Female bar staff blanked my friend and I on many occasions, obviously bypassing us just to serve male patrons. Guy next to me threw something at another bar member and a slight altercations proceeded. That gut was told to leave. Then that bar man served us, with which I thanked him for acknowledging that we were there. The female bar staff was a serious wind up. Then another altercation later. The music was not my bag however as it was late (passed 1.30am) and we had already waited in line and at the bar we stuck around. Fair to say I not go back to this venue but Manchester I will return to explore."
"Decent food and drinks. Very loud music. I expected more out of the tequila drinking experience but it was an OK night nevertheless. Good atmosphere."
"My family and I love Mexican so booked to eat here before a show. Upon entering we were given a flyer for 2 for 1 cocktails. We were shown to our reserved table and everything looked clean and tidy. We were a bit taken aback as it felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant with loud music and flashing lights. We had read that it turned into a nightclub later but thought at 5:30pm it would still be a restaurant. We ordered cocktails whilst we looked at the menu. Frozen strawberry daiquiris, margaritas and Long Island ice teas. We didn’t rate the cocktails at all. They were all very weak and were pricey at around £10 each, so ordered beer and wine for our next round of drinks (again very pricey £5 for a glass of wine). When the food arrived the chicken was absolutely delicious. The nachos were great too, plenty on the plate and plenty of toppings too. We also ordered the beef brisket which I would not recommend as it was tasteless. Sadly the ladies bathrooms were dirty, toilet seats hanging off and the hand dryer not working . The service was really good - our waitress was amazing. I think this venue could be an amazing Mexican restaurant but sadly it’s lacking. I’m glad I went but will not be returning."
"Great venue. Night cap had. Pleasant staff. Would definitely go again. Incredible choice of drinks"
"Food was great! They definitely seemed understaffed but we had a lovely waiter. Drinks were well made too."
