"Having lived in london for the last 10 years and have NEVER experienced this I was astonished that we were turned away by a scruffy Doorman because I was wearing a cap ( NOT A BASEBALL CAP) but at fashionable hat that was a part of my outfit ) I'm a 49 years old professional who would obviously not be out for any kind of trouble, I turn to my wife and said, thats clearly why the place is empty at which point the doorman laughed, if I was part of the management team I would be losing my mind over this decision during an economic crisis as it was a saturday night and there were Ten customers in this establishment at the most. If you can trust this guy to have any impact on your turnover good luck to you but trust me you will ultimately fail."
"Very good service, really nice range of food, and the quality is very very good - which really matters. A very good selection of wines, and cocktails. Very nice enviros too, a courtyard as well as separate Restaurant. Quite lovely."
"Highly recommended restaurant, very pleasing atmosphere with pleasant staff all round. High quality food & drinks."
"When making the booking I explained I wanted an afternoon tea for two and one of us was a child. I was asked if we wanted jam sandwiches, I did not. The bread was stale on the edges. The fillings were lacking. Cheese and pickle? I’ve tasted more cheese on public transport! Oh and they only gave enough cream for half a scone. HALF A SCONE! If you want coffee with this you had better order several as they don’t give you a pot, that was for the tea and I hate tea. The chocolate moose things on top, in shot glasses? Yeah that was a bad move because not only did they not give anything to eat it with but they don’t have a spoon small enough to fit to the bottom of the shot glass. I also thought it was a bit pricey considering I generally pay £15 for 2 people but no these guys charged almost £30. Edit: I had a call yesterday from a member of staff at the herbalist to let me know they had seen my review. They apologised for over charging me and offered to email me with a voucher for their Christmas afternoon tea. I haven’t received an email. Hence changing this review to one star. Edit 2: I was offered a voucher for an afternoon tea for two which I kindly took them up on their offer. I’m glad I did as the experience was a much better one. The food was freshly prepared and tasted amazing. The staff went above and beyond to rectify the previous issue."
