"Very nice food good service but don’t serve alcohol anymore overall was very nice will be returning"
"We visited Tulsi in Pontefract last Friday night after arriving from New York City (tired & jet lagged) for a local family event. The food & service are probably the best UK Indian restaurant experience we’ve ever had as our party of 5 loved every minute of being there. The Naga Jalfrezi was truly exceptional as were the Onion Bhaji’s that equaled the same size as a baseball! Excellent friendly staff too who treat us superbly. A terrific night out was had by all therefore, the next time we’re in town, Tulsi is an absolute must. Great job guys. Please keep up the wonderful work…"
"Never had a bad meal there apart from last night 31/12/2022 was wanting to say something but staff was running around like headless chickens. Think the son or son's have taken over. Be a long time before we go back. Sorry"
"Originally booked for 7pm to be called and asked to move to 8.15pm which I kindly agreed to. Almost 9pm and still no table no apology, no offer of drinks. Just someone making excuses and being very rude. Other people also left Tulsi. They obviously had over booked and can not cope. Sadly didn't get to taste the food. Very poor service! Not at all friendly or kind"
"We arrived at the restaurant, sat down to order and was then told they didn’t serve alcohol. Why didn’t you tell us on the telephone? My hubby then searched Pontefract for a bottle of wine leaving me for 20 minutes with our starters. We booked our meal for 6.30pm because we thought it would be quiet (passed experience of eating out in Castleford and surrounding areas) couldn’t be more wrong! It was so noisy, we couldn’t hear each other talk. All we could hear was groups of men and groups of women shouting, screaming and laughing at each other like they were in a nightclub at the end of the night! It spoiled our rare night out, so disappointed. We rushed our food done, left loads and stood at the door to pay, we couldn’t stand it any longer!"
