"We had our small family wedding meal in Picollino 20 years ago and wanted to return to celebrate our anniversary. Our wedding night was an unforgettable meal of the tenderest lamb and a pear frangipane. This time didn't feel quite so special. Neither of my first choices were available for mains or dessert despite us being booked in early at 7pm. However it was still good food and good to celebrate with our two sons, all those years later. It was a nice atmosphere as its around Christmas and was bustling."
"Unfortunately this has been another one of several occasions where service really has let the side down. Arrived at just before 1pm and by 2.10pm we had only been served our appetiser. When I asked how long it would be, the waiter went to look and miraculously our food arrived a minute later….. cold. The attention from the waiting staff is lacking and clearly they need to be trained to pay attention and have awareness of what is happening with orders on their tables. Very disappointing."
