"We always get excellent curries from the spice kitchen/spice lounge, however my favourite dish is the Tiger by the River, which when not made too hot is delicious! Unfortunately it is regularly too hot, despite me always asking for it to be made less spicy. I love this dish so much that I will play Russian roulette and continue to order the dish in the hope that Lady Luck deems it my turn to receive this dish at its perfect spicy-ness. Aside from that, no complaints about Spice Kitchen! :0)"
"The food is excellent, the only area which needs work is the ordering system. Three visits to this takeaway, ordered online, on all three occasions (even though the order stated the time the food would be ready by) the staff didn't actually start cooking the food until I arrived to collect it. My advice is don't order in advance, just order at the desk as it makes no difference to the wait."
"Tasteless and too hot! Bring back Bhajis is all I can say. Supposedly associated with the spice lounge over the road, but whilst I’ve been pleased with that in the past, this new place is plain bad. Ordered a mixed dish with chicken lamb and king prawns. The prawns were totally missing, the lamb was tough, but the chicken was ok. No subtlety to the flavours though, just hot! My dish was a one chilli and should really have been 2, and my wife’s 2 but should have been 3. So I’d say if you want something mild but flavourful, avoid! Brutal mouth burning, then yeah, might be your thing? Oh and Bhaji’s had some good offers and always did free popadoms and chutneys. No sight of that here though. Won’t be going back."
