"Used to be one of my favourites for sushi when I first started buying it during lockdown 1... now it's gone downhill. Overcooked rice with way too much sugar or mirin in it, tiny pieces of badly cut sashimi, wilting lettuce in the poke bowl, spicy edaname which was just oily with no salt or flavour. Overall the quality control has just gone. So disappointing. Giving it 1 star since the fish was still fresh and they were super generous with the soy sauce, but we paid like £45 today through just-eat and it was not worth it. Update: called as their reply asked and was told they will call us back - they haven't."

"I’ve ordered takeaway from here a few times (via Uber Eats) and I haven’t been disappointed. My go-to meal is the chicken katsu curry, which is delicious and very filling. If you want quick and tasty Japanese style takeaway, I’ve found Iro Sushi to be a good choice! There are quite a few negative reviews, but luckily I haven’t had any bad experiences ordered takeaway from here."

"This used to be our favorite sushi place as it was consistently good and affordable, we always ordered through Deliveroo and never had any issues. Our last order there was a 10% discount offer if using their website so we decided to try them out directly. There seemed to be no place to add the discount however, as there was no code given and the prices were the same as Deliveroo. We proceeded with their website order however, to avoid the minimum delivery charge with Deliveroo. After waiting 50 mins post ordering we still had no confirmation email so I rang the restaurant and they insisted I had only just ordered it despite having a receipt email with the original order time of 21:20. It was a further 40 mins before our food arrived (22:30). As well I ended up having to search for the driver down the road as he had called me whilst trying to deliver it to another house despite giving him clear address (no delivery driver has ever had an issue finding our place before). My partner and I had ordered the same thing, however when it came to opening up the containers one of the portions was half the size of the other, and both broccoli and spinach were absent from the half portion. It has been 3 days since I emailed them with a complaint and have had no response yet. Judging by the recent reviews I assume there must have been a change of management at this location, sadly not for the better. We will have to find another good sushi restaurant now I guess. Edit: changed it down to 1 star as there has been no emails at all from the restraunt and the owner is just trying to cover it up with replies on here"
